On Friday, 6/27/08, there was a great article in The Oregonian about Ryz, a new footwear company in Portland that is tapping into crowdsourcing and traditional media outreach to create buzz. Check out pictures and the back story behind the first shoe Ryz is introducing in Brent Hunsberger's Playbooks & Profits blog post for The Oregonian. I'm impressed with how Ryz is building buzz and I talk about this in the below video.

Hey Patrick-
Thanks for the blog post and the video - Rob (our founder) just fwded it to me - appreciate the coverage and your support of our product with your purchase!
Just wanted to give you a shout out and express our thanks for supporting the RYZ revolution.

Scott,
Nice hearing from you! I'm glad you decided to post a reply to my blog post. One of the best things that companies can do to build positive buzz is to reach out to people who blog about them. I commend you for doing so.
I'm excited to receive the Ryz shoe that I ordered and will be watching your company as its unique business model develops. Good luck with your endeavors!
Best,
Patrick Galvin
