Hansine Pedersen Goran, President and Designer of Current Carpets, is one of a handful of people in the United States creating custom hand-tufted carpets. Her pieces blend traditional craftsmanship with the crisp clean lines of modern design, and she works with each client to choose the right size, colors and shape for their living or working space.
Current Carpets hired Galvin Communications to get noticed. We created a complete media kit with rich visuals emphasizing the artistry of Hansine’s carpets, and targeted journalists at home magazines and newspaper sections throughout the country.
The San Francisco Chronicle published an in-depth, 1,000 word profile of Hansine and her business. The piece, appearing on the front page of the Home & Garden section, included several color photographs of carpets from the Current Carpets collection.
ANG Newspapers (publishers of The Oakland Tribune, Alameda Times-Star, The Daily Review, The Argus, San Ramon Valley Herald, Tri-Valley Times, and San Mateo County Times) ran an in-depth spotlight piece featured prominently in the Sunday Business section. It, too, was accompanied by a photograph of the artist with her designs.
Nationally, Current Carpets has been covered in upscale home furnishing magazines such as Sunset, Home, The Design Journal, Metropolitan Home, Better Homes and Gardens, and At Home in Memphis, expanding recognition and driving sales across the country.
